About Us

Caroline McCreight and Christina Kyprou (Founders of Fit2Dance Academy) met in 2006 at Dartington College of Arts whilst studying BA (Hons) Choreography. Both graduated in 2009 and have worked together ever since. The strength of the duo is based on a shared passion and vision for the fitness and dance industries. Caroline and Christina love to teach and thoroughly enjoy sharing their passion and knowledge with others.

Caroline McCreight

Caroline started training at an early age in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Disco/Freestyle and Street dance. During her training she worked as an assistant teacher for five years and discovered her passion and desire to teach dance. She went on to study dance in further education completing A Level Dance at Sixth Form College, Farnborough and BA (Hons) Choreography at Dartington College of Arts, Devon. Dartington is where she was introduced to and inspired by a wide range of contemporary dance techniques, practices and performances. As part of her course she studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Scientific Movement Studies at Towson University, Baltimore, USA independently.

In 2009 she travelled to Rhodes, Greece working as an Entertainer and Dancer performing in various hotels across the island in shows such as Grease and Cabaret.

Caroline has since been working as a freelance dance teacher in primary schools and dance schools all over the South East teaching Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Street Dance, Cheerleading and Zumba to children and adults. This includes preparing and entering pupils for exams with 100% pass rate. She also delivers children's and adult's dance parties for various occassions, Wedding dances, Dance Camps and Special Educational Needs Dance classes.

She is fully trained and qualified dance teacher having gained her IDTA Associate Freestyle, IDTA Pre-Associate Ballet, ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction and Zumba Basic in addition to her previous qualifications.

Christina Kyprou

Christina has taken dance classes all her life starting her training in traditional classes including Ballroom (Quickstep, Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango) and Latin American (Cha cha cha, Jive, Samba) gaining IDTA certifications. Christina decided to broaden her interests and studied Musical Theatre as a hobby for 4 years before studying a National Diploma in and gaining a Distinction. She then went on to Gain a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts: Dance, gaining another Distinction. It was during her time studying her BTEC that introduced Christina to Contemporary dance and the art of Choreography. She then went on to study BA (Hons) Choreography at Dartington College of Arts, during of which Christina gained the opportunity to study in Berlin, Germany to develop her skills.

Since leaving Dartington College of Arts Christina has worked in a variety of Dance and performance settings, but always focusing on her passion to teach. Christina’s profound interest in Fitness drove her to embark on a journey alongside her dance teaching to study as a Group Exercise Instructor. She gained her YMCA ETM (Exercise to Music) qualification which has enabled her to then become Les Mills Bodycombat and Zumba Basic qualified.

Christina now teaches Group exercise classes and delivers personal training sessions in various locations including Leisure Centres, Colleges and Gyms all over North and East London.

She is also a fully qualified Personal Trainer (Level 3) which allows her to work with her clients on an individual level covering various abilities and needs including weight loss, muscle building/toning and helping to develop/regain control and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Both Caroline and Christina hold relevant Insurances, Licenses, First Aid Certificates and Enhanced CRB/DBS.
